Huskers get ready for inaugural season of Sand Volleyball

Earlier this week we discussed an exciting new venture for Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook and his players.

The team will take up the sport of sand volleyball which starts the first Thursday in March and will progress for about eight weeks.

There won't be any games in Lincoln and the team will travel to California to play its games.

Of course it'll be much different from traditional volleyball which will add an extra bit of intrigue and excitement.

One of the great former Nebraska volleyball players, GICC Graduate Jenny Kropp is a national champion sand volleyball player.

Too bad coach Cook couldn't have her, but he says the players he has now will embrace the challenge of Sand Volleyball..
