Huskers make defense their top priority
Husker Defensive Coordinator John Papuchis said he didn't care if he had to stay up 24 hours a day seven days a week if that is what it would take to make the Husker defense better.
Coach Gus Malzon brings his Arkansas State Red Wolves into Memorial Stadium to challenge the Blackshirts Saturday. The Red Wolves were down 50-3 before putting up their first touchdown against the Oregon Ducks in the opener as Ryan Aplin hit.Julian Jones. While Nebraska fell to UCLA, Arkansas State came from behind to defeat the Memphis Tigers, 33-28 in a very similar game. As Bo Pelini said, its more about us, not them. Both Nebraska and Arkansas State have averaged well over 500 yards total offense in each of its 2 games to lead its respective conferences, Nebraska in the Big 10 and Arkansas State in the Sun Belt but both had allowed over 400 yards a game in two games, so if that's any indication, there should be some points scored Saturday. The Huskers hope to have most of them. |
