Larson nominated for U.S. Women's volleyball team

We switch to women's volleyball and another former Husker Jordan Larson. The three time All-American is one of 12 nominated to play for the United States Women's volleyball team.

The nomination is the first for Larson to play on the Olympic team but not her first experience with international play.

In 2009 Larson played in the Pan American Cup and has been named the starting outside hitter on three straight FIVB World Grand Prix gold medal teams.

Joining Larson on the team is another Former husker Nancy Metcalf who was selected as a replacement athlete for the Olympic team.

Olympic Volleyball games are scheduled to begin July 28th with the medal round matches wrapping up play August 11th.
