New Hastings Little League team forming in Hastings

The Hastings area will soon have another Little League traveling team. Area parents and coaches are in the building stages of forming a third Little League traveling team to go along with the A's and Thunder to start playing next season.

The thought behind the team is to give boys and girls ages 8 to 14 another chance to learn the game of baseball.

"With the traveling baseball you get a chance to play more games, you get to play more kids from different areas and you get to play at a more competitive level. And I think a lot more boys are interested in doing that," said Brian Bonnell.

Tryouts for the team will be held August 11th and 12th.
