Imagine transferring to a new school to start your senior year in high school when you're already a star athlete That's what GICC Crusader quarterback Caleb Kluender did without missing a beat leaving Valentine to move to the City of Kindness.

Soon he'll be off to college on a football scholarship.

Caleb is our News 5 Five Star Performer sponsoered by Aurora Cooperative.

After signing his scholarship with Morningside College, Caleb was signing autographs for his classmates. He has football cards to give away. The same picture is on a high school football sports magazine after passing for nearly 2000 yards and rushing for nearly 500 more this season.

The Mustangs feel he'll be a dual threat quarterback for them in college just like here at GICC and he feels he'll be ready to play for the Mustangs perhaps this season.

Last season, Morningside finished with a record of 10-2. With league champion and national NAIA runnerup Sioux Falls moving to NCAA Division 2 football, the Mustangs could be the favorites to capture the GPAC title
