There is no doubt Tuesday night's first baseball game at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha was one of the most dramatic of the season.

Husker freshman relief pitcher Logan Ehlers was THE clutch performer in the 2-1 win over the Creighton Bluejays. He he is our News 5 Five Star performer sponsored by Aurora Cooperative.

Logan made that huge pitch with the bases loaded in the 8th last night, then went on to retire the Jays in the 9th picking up his first collegiate win and evening his record at 1-1.

Coach Mike Anderson looks forward to seeing Logan back on the mound for his Huskers very soon and very often.

With Logan being a lefthander and Casey Hauptman an ace righthander in the closer role out of the bullpen, the Huskers could have not one but two stoppers in the pen in the late innings the rest of the season.
