This week's News 5's Five Star Performers sponsored by Aurora Cooperative have come from far away, adapted to a new culture and been able to at least meet and perhaps exceed expectations.

They are exchange students and members of the Hastings Tiger Swim team.

Nickolaus Palka is from Austria, Richard Pabista from the Czech Republic and Michel Strum from Germany.

They've never been on a swim team before but have been asked to compete against the state's best swimmers all season.

Nickolaus has completed his time with the Hastings Tigers moved to Costa Rica to complete his exchange program.
