Bronco football players named scholar athletes

A few members of the Hasting College football team receiving honors for their performance in the classroom as six are named to the Daktronics NAIA football scholar athletes list for 2011.

The scholar-athletes were nominated by their coaches and must be juniors or seniors with a minimum 3.5 GPA on a four point scale.

Five of the six honorees from Hastings are Juniors including wide receiver Kyle Bernstrauch, defensive backs Steffen Boden and Neil Sabata, linebacker Paul Campfield, and offensive lineman Preston Peterson.

The only senior making the list for the Broncos O-lineman Evan Richter.
