Bronco soccer team picks up top honors
The hometown Hastings College Broncos soccer team ended another successful year as the runner up in the NAIA national tournament losing in overtime 3-2 to Lindsey Wilson University.
Individually, though, the Broncos picked up lots of hardware, including the NAIA player of the year award going to Senior Defender Derek Prinz. Prinz is the first HC player to be named player of the year since the awards inception in1997. The senior also was named to the first team all-American list for the second year in row. Joining him on the first team Senior forward Nate Polak who scored 18 goals with 17 assists on the season. Other broncos being honored goal keeper Cody Poteat named to the second team and forward Jordan Green is honorable mention. |
