Broncos hope for first home win
It's five games down and five to go for the Hastings Bronco football team. Coach Paul Mierkiewicz would probably said his team has to win all five left to return to the NAIA Playoffs.
When they host the Midland Lutheran Warriors Saturday, the Broncos will be looking for their first home victory. They've lost to top ranked Sioux Falls and the Northwestern Red Raiders at Lloyd Wilson but won all three on the road. The players look for a breakthrough on the home turf. Difficult road tests await the Broncos in coming weeks at Dakota Wesleyan and Morningside, but winnable games against Doane and Nebraska Wesleyan are in the future as well. The Bronco 2010 fortunes are very much to be determined. |
