Hastings Bronco players said Saturday's crowd at Doane was very hostile, but the Broncos did what they had to do, sweep the twinbill from the Tigers to win the GPAC regular season title.

As we've mentioned, that means no matter how they do in this week's GPAC Touranment in Sioux City, the Broncos will be bound for the NAIA National Tournament field of 45 next week.

Both are double elimination affairs.

There's a lot of baseball left for the Broncos to be played, and they feel the experience at Doane Saturday with the season on the line helped them greatly.

The Broncos will play Thursday morning at 9:00 against the Concordia Bulldogs in Sioux City in the first game of the tournament, then play again later in the day in either the winners or losers bracquet at either 5:00 or 7:00.
