Abbie Welliver and Lyndi Rouzee, two former Bronco volleyball players, will coach the team this season.

Abbie and Lyndi take over for the departed Lori Willadson who resigned suddenly to move back to Colorado for family and financial reasons.

Ian added that he fully understood why coach Willadson had to leave and pointed out that having these coaches take over the program was the best way to look forward as the season begins for the Bronco volleyball team August 26th at the Northwestern Tournament against Taylor University.

Lyndi's mother is state champion volleyball coach Diane Rouzee of the Grand Island Northwest high school Vikings.

News 5 talked to Diane Thursday who said she's so proud of Lyndi but didn't want to appear on camera letting it be Lyndi's day.

Lyndi's sister Jenna Rouzee plays for Rick Squires UNK Lopers who host the Broncos September 20th. That will be a great day for the Rouzee family.
