Of course, playoff football resumes Friday night for Classes A and B, and just like Thursday night, we have yet another rematch from a regular season contest.

If any game was the most unusual one of this season, it had to be the contest between the Aurora Huskies and Grand Island Northwest Vikings.

That Class B first round contest is our Aurora Cooperative Game of the Week.

On October 5th, the Northwest Vikings went into Aurora and left with an amazing 54-0 victory. That the Vikings won the game might have been a mild surprise, but winning as they did was a total shock.

Since then, Northwest has lost to York and beaten Columbus.

Since then, Aurora has beaten both York and Columbus. What's more, Aurora is 7-2, Northwest 6-3 with the rematch again at Aurora.

"Feels kind of like a double-edged sword. You feel like you have that confidence, but you have to be able to harness that confidence and take it with respect because Aurora is a great program. They're not going to let us do it again," said Grand Island Northwest Coach Randy Stein.

"We're going to try and control the ball a little better than we did and have better drives than we had against them and hanging on to the football that's going to be important. Defensively, we gotta get in better position to defend the pass. We didn't do very good at the first game," said Aurora Coach Randy Huebert.

Viking quarterback Zac Rouzee was fantastic hitting his receivers time after time in the game against Aurora three weeks ago.
The Vikings also forced five turnovers.

Friday night's game two is likely to be a closer one that the first meeting between these teams.

Kickoff Friday night at Aurora is at 7:00.

The winner of this game feels it has a chance to make a run at getting to Lincoln and play in the Class B title game next month at Memorial Stadium.
