Hastings Tigers hit the softball field
It is a youth movement this season for the Hastings High Softball team.
Just because they're young doesn't mean they lack talent. The Tigers began practice on Monday. They open the season on the road August 26th against Grand Island. Hastings will have 8 juniors in their lineup this season. And, they will return four starters. Co–Head Coaches Pete Theoharis and Ashley Speak's squad was 12–16. The Tigers will lean heavily on junior pitcher Emily Zysset. She's the most experienced pitcher on the staff. Hastings has just two seniors on the roster. So, the juniors will be looked at to provide stability. One of the better hitters on the roster for Hastings is Kelsey Christenson. The Tigers first home game is August 31st against York. |
