Softball Highlights: Hastings vs Lexington
Thursday night in the world of softball at the Smith Complex Hastings took on Lexington. Hastings trailed Lexington 6-1 in the 2nd. With a runner on 3rd, the pitch got away from the catcher, but the Tiger runner was gunned down at the plate and manager Pistol Pete Theoharis is very unhappy.
The same score as we moved to the 3rd inning. Alexandra Schmidt delivered a basehit to center. It rolled to the fence for a double. Chole Swoboda scored from 22nd base and it's 6-2. The Tigers would get another run on the grounder to short. Alexandra came home to make it 6-3. With the score 8-5 in the top of the 4th, Lexington's Kaitlin Schultze got a hold of one; it disappeared over the fence for a three run homer. Lex led 11-5 and they went onto win the game. |
