Former Hastings Tiger head football coach Walt Olsen, who led the squad to back to back state titles in 1993 and 94, is back in coaching.

Walt, who led these Tigers to the 93 Class A title over Lincoln Southeast and 94 Class B championship over McCook, has been appointed head football coach at Papillion La Vista South high school.

Walt had been head coach for five years at Council Bluff Abraham Lincoln high school in Council Bluffs, Iowa after leaving Hastings in 1998.

After almost a decade out of coaching, Walt joins Titan Athletic Director and former Grand Island AD Jeff Johnson at Papio South.
