Fonner Park gets set for its 59th Season

When the horses break from the starting gate Friday afternoon at 2:00pm sharp, the 59th season of racing at Fonner Park will be underway.

31 race dates are set for the 2012 meeting with races each Friday, Saturday and Sunday from February 24th thru May 5th.

The track will be dark Easter Sunday April 8th...

Here are some of the key dates for this meeting in addition to this Friday's opening day.

Saturday April 7th will be the Dowd Mile and Saturday April 28th will be the track's signature race, the $75,000 Gus Fonner Bosselman Handicap.

May 5th will be the final day of racing and that just happens to be the date of the Kentucky Derby in which fans can watch and bet on that race.
