Husker backup quarterback Brion Carnes has requested he be moved to wide receiver for a better chance at playing.

The sophomore from Bradenton, Florida played sparingly last season playing in three games in relief of Taylor Martinez.

With the emergence of Ron Kellogg and Tommy Armstrong, Carnes is listed as fourth team quarterback and was not on the travel roster to UCLA.

This will be his first week of practice at his new position.
