Husker Martin ticketed for leaving scene of accident

Student athletes at the University of Nebraska are having a very hard time driving this year. Earlier this year volleyball player Lauren Cook was ticketed for driving with a suspended license, yesterday Ed reported Mike Caputo was cited for DUI and Tuesday it was Eric Martin's turn to have a moving violation.

The Husker Defensive Lineman was ticketed at his home on Sunday for leaving the scene of an accident in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Witnesses say Martin backed his 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora into a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo around 11:00 pm Saturday night

The Husker junior then got out of his car looked around and left.

The passenger in Martin's car said she and Martin didn't think the car had been damaged but police estimate the Monte Carlo sustained $2000 in damage.
