In Thursday morning's Omaha World Herald long time Husker basketball beat writer Lee Barkneft quoted one word from coach Tim Miles: "Unacceptable."

That describes Wednesday night's loss to the Purdue Boilermakers to send the Big Red to an 0-5 record in the Big Ten.

Purdue took the early lead, held Nebraska to again just 19 points at the half, outscored the Huskers 10-2 to begin the 2nd half, and never looked back enroute to a 65-56 victory.

True freshman Shavon Shields led the way with 18 points.

Late in the game, Coach Miles called a timeout, pointed to the stands where people had left and said take a look at this.
