Husker basketball sizes up competition
They've won five of their last six games, have 5 wins over top 15 teams including the top ranked Indiana Hooisers and Michigan Wolverines, and are 14-2 on their home court this season.
Bo Ryan's Wisconsin Badgers will be tough for the Huskers to defeat tonight in Madison. Nonetheless, that is exactly what Nebraska will try to do 3 days after Dylan Talley's spectacular shot to beat the shot clock and defeat the Iowa Hawkeyes 64-60. Way back on January 6th, the Badgers opened the Big 10 season in Lincoln and rallied late to defeat the Huskers 47-41. The Huskers were in that game until late, we'll see if that happens tonight. "They're good, They're underrated because they're so fundamentally sound and hard to beat. They're very talented but because they play so well together and they just share the ball and move the ball I think they're underrated as individual players. I think they've got more talent that people give them credit for and obviously they're really well coached, Bo is you look at the success that guy has had in the Big Ten and he's a model for us young guys moving up," said Coach Tim Miles. The Huskers cling to the hope of an NIT bid, but have plenty of work to do. Doing the difficult and defeating the Badgers Tuesday night will be a "must". A trip to Illinois Saturday preceeds the last regular season game ever at the Devaney Center next Wednesday against the Minnesota Golden Gophers followed by the regular season finale at Iowa. |
