Husker volleyball player Mancuso nominated for excellence

Nebraska's volleyball team is back in action at the Coliseum hosting Indiana and Purdue on back to back nights Friday and Saturday.

No doubt capacity crowds will be on hand to see if the Big Red can break a rare two game losing streak.

Husker senior outside hitter Gina Mancuso is one of ten college volleyball finalists for the volleyball Senior Class Awards.

It is an award given to a senior player for her excellence on and off the court.

This is an award in which anyone can vote online for any one of the ten.

The winner will be the player with the most popular votes. (The Electoral College will not be involved.)

To vote for Gina just go to the Senior Class Awards website at www.seniorclassawards.com and follow the link.

So far Gina has almost 21 percent of the vote, more than double what the second place competitor has.
