Huskers desperate for redemption at Northwestern

Tools

As we've mentioned here on News 5, football is one sports where dealing with a loss is so tough because you have to wait a week to try and redeem yourself.

So how does 2 weeks feel for the Huskers after that 63-38 loss to Ohio State in Columbus?.

Not very good after giving up touchdowns on 6 straight drives in this game a week ago Saturday at the Horseshoe.

The last three quarters of defensive football have been nightmares for Nebraska.

The 3 quarters before that were pretty good. The Huskers held Ohio State without a first down in the first quarter and of course shutout Wisconsin in the 2nd half of the come from behind win the week before.

Going into Saturday's game at Northwestern, there probably is no more anxious team in college football to play a game than the Huskers.

Nebraska still ranks first in total and scoring offense in the Big 10 averaging 44 points a game, but 10th in scoring defense allowing 28 points a contest and 7th in total defense with the opposition gaining 367 yards per contest thru six games.

The Huskers are currently in 4th place in the Big Ten Legends division with a 1-1 league mark and game behind Iowa and Michigan who are both 2-0 so yes, running the table looks like a must.
