Huskers work on offensive strength

In the first six quarters of the 2012 season, the Huskers scored 10 touchdowns. Any team would like those results. In the final two quarters against UCLA last week, Nebraska scored no touchdowns and lost the game 36-30.

That result is what offensive coordinator Tim Beck aims to correct.

The Bruins scored ten points off two Husker 2nd half turnovers and that was the difference.

The 4th quarter interception of this Taylor Martinez pass was his first of this season and only his 2nd in the past 4 games going back to last season.

This was the key play since Nebraska trailed only 29-27 and the game was still in reach.

What about this team the Huskers face Saturday, the Red Wolves of Arkansas State? Like the Huskers, they're 1-1, like Nebraska they've been able to score but have struggled on defense.

Coach Bo Pelini expects a challenge from the defending Sun Belt Conference champs.
