Switching from the round football to the oblong one Taylor Martinez is on yet another award watch list having his name put on the Manning award watch list.

After setting the school record for total offense last year putting up 2,963 total yards and 21 touchdowns Martinez is gaining quite a bit of attention nationally having also been named to the Davey O'Brien Award watch list.

The red-shirt junior is one of 25 quarterbacks named to the manning award watch list and one of only three big ten Q-B's on the list.

The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in Honor of the College football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning.

The Award is the only quarterback award to include candidates' bowl performances in its balloting.

The 25 candidates will be narrowed to ten November 26th with the winner being announced Wednesday January 9th.
