They called him "Frosty the Showman" when he played at Wood River high school. Former Husker and Wood River star quarterback Scott Frost will remain on the staff at Oregon as wide receiver coach and not come back to Nebraska.

Scott talked to Husker coach Bo Pelini several days ago about joining the Husker staff.

Late Sunday night, Scott wrote on his Facebook page, "It's Ducks, Ducks, Ducks. The Ducks played in the national title game last month losing a close game to Auburn.

Scott, who was quarterback of the 1997 National Championship team when the Husker defeated Peyton Manning and the Tennessee Vols in the Orange Bowl in this game, likely would have had to been offered the offensive coordinator job to come.

It appears Bo is ready to give that assignment to running backs coach and fellow Tim Beck, who has already been on the staff for the past three years, though no official announcement has come to announce staff changes.
