Nebraska fans in Grand Island and Kearney will talk Husker football every Wednesday during the season as either Sean Callahan of Husker Illustrated.com or Steve Sipple of the Lincoln Journal Star will be in the area.
Wednesday was Sean's turn here at Home Federal Bank in Grand Island.
He spoke to several dozen at the luncheon, showed some football videos and talked about that season opener and the rest of the games.
He also talked to me about which player will start for Nebraska at quarterback Saturday.
"I think since he was starter last year it's assumed Zac Lee would start, however, the more I'm hearing is that Taylor Martinez is doing a great job during fall camp, and I think the emphasis is going toward a running quarterback and I wouldn't be surprised if it's Taylor Martinez that will take the first snap," said Callahan.
Next Wednesday's luncheon will be at the Motor Inn in Shelton where Steve Sipple talks about the Husker game against Idaho a week from Saturday the 11th.
