Athletes with Husker ties participate in Olympics

Over the past few weeks we've told you about some Nebraska athletes competing in the Olympic games in London. But there is a whole list of former Huskers taking part in the 30th Olympiad that you may want to keep track of starting this weekend.

Jordan Burroughs is favored to take home a gold medal in wrestling for the red white and blue.

Jordan Larson will try to set serve and spike her way to a medal in volleyball for Team USA.

Chante McMillan and Amber Neben will also be representing America in Track and Cycling, respectively.

Alex Marich will be taking to the basketball court for Australia while Ade Dagunduro will be playing for Nigeria.

Two Canadian Huskers will suit up for soccer for their home country, Brittany Timko and Karina Lablanc.

And Therese Alshammer will swim for the fifth time for Sweden.
