"Voyage to Victory" expected for Huskers

by Ed Littler

Sophomore Kawuan Jakes of St. Augustine, Florida makes his first start at quarterback Saturday night for the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky. He'll have a tough task.

Bo Pelini hopes to lead the Husker "Voyage To Victory" this season against all opponents.

Nebraska is heavily favored to do so in the opener Saturday against a team that lost all 12 of its games last year.

The Huskers feel they'll get time for many of their players in the game.

Saturday's meeting between Nebraska and Western Kentucky is a Pay Per View telecast only. It cost $40 to get the broadcast.

Nebraska's next opponent, the Idaho Vandals open Thursday night hosting North Dakota.
