As we move toward the start of the games of the 30th Olympiad in London here on NBC, our anticipation keeps growing. That is especially true of wrestlers Tervel Dlagnev and Jordan Burroughs,
We've talked to both in recent days here on News 5 and there is no doubt both of these guys are cheering hard for each other.

Both guys do the right thing on the mat and off the mat and clearly are great character guys.

Coach Manning will be with both his wrestler Jordan Burroughs and former UNK wrestler Tervel Dlagnev as an assistant coach when the squad arrives in London for the games of the 30th Olympiad right here on NBC.

While Jordan is ranked #1 in the world and favored to win the gold medal in his 163 pound division, Tervel will go into these games ranked as the #3 Heavyweight, but with a win at the world championships in which he defeated the #1 ranked wrestler.

"Tervel is another great story, another guy that's kind of as a division two wrestler made a couple of world teams and now he's on the Olympic team. I don't know if he'd be considered a favorite, but he has a great chance to win Olympic gold medal and get on that podium," said Manning.

How about Tervel, you've seen him up close, what do you expect out of him over there?

"A gold, nothing less, he's a good friend of mine, he's an awesome wrestler and a great competitor, you know so I know he wants the same and we all have same goal going out to London so I know he wants the gold," said Burroughs.

As we've heard Tervel say about Jordan on our News 5 Sports Stream program sponsored by HK Sports Bar and Grill, he expects the same out of Jordan.

"I would be surprised if he didn't win. You know, I mean his chances are dynamite, he is one of the most dynamite wrestlers I've ever seen. I mean he's one of the most dynamite wrestlers in the history of the sports and that's saying a lot. It's amazing so watching him wrestle it's sweet, and it's cool being on a team with someone like that, it fuels the whole team up, he's a stud and he's really fun to watch," said Dlagnev.

Our anticipation for both Tervel and Jordan will grow until August 10th and 11th, the freestyle wrestling competition is among the final events of these games from London right here on NBC.
