Bluehawks find momentum on the basketball court
In the high school ranks few coaches are as accomplished as Kevin Asher of the St. Cecilia Bluehawks.
With 2 state championships under his watch and another just before he arrived from Wood River, the Bluehawks have been on a roll for a long time putting up banners just like other sports at the school. This season after losing its first two, the team has won its last 2 by double digits against respectable competition. The Bluehawks, who take on the Sutton Mustangs Friday, have played their first four game without arguably their best player, shooting guard Ceaser Teano, out with an ankle injury until after the New Year. |
