Bronco defense struggles against Wesleyan

It was all set up perfectly for the Hastings Broncos. Their final four games of the year against the four worst teams in the GPAC. Smooth sailing into the conference tournament, right?

Wrong. Nebraska Wesleyan came to town, kept it close in the first half and was gifted easy shot after easy shot in the second frame leaving head Coach Lance Creech completely flummoxed as he watched his team inexplicably drop a game that they needed to have.

"Our inability to defend in the second half is unexplainable. I'm just not sure what to do - film, practice, break down work - I'm not sure how much mores stuff we have to do as a coaching staff to get it through to our players that we have got to have a better understanding of defending the basketball," said Coach Creech.

"They just came out in the second half and really made a run there in the first 8-10 minutes that we never really bounced back from . Gave up a lot of easy layups. Just not good enough," said Dylan Flinn.
