GPAC Softball is underway at the Smith Complex. It is the first of three days to determine the league champion and winner of the automatic bid to the NAIA Tournament.
Let's go to the action where one Hastings Broncos fan has her sunglasses on as the sun broke through a cloudy day.
Already up 3-0 in the fourth, Red Raider freshman Kara Normacher goes deep to right. This ball is over the fence for a 3 run homer and the top seeded Red Raiders lead 6-0.
We go to the 7th and the Broncos are not done yet. With one out and one on, it's Candace Connaly who gets a hold of this one. The junior from Temecula, California gives the Broncos life as they cut it to 6-2.
The next batter Kelsey Hoehler keeps the rally going. Kelsey hits the 2nd of back to back homers and all of a sudden it's a 6-3 game.
Then with two outs and two on, the Broncos bring the tying run to the plate. However, Jessey Johnson is retired on a grounder to short and the Red Raiders hold onto win 6-3.
