Bronco teams head to GPAC tournament
A 20 win season - not too shabby. Sure, losing to Morningside Saturday wasn't quite the way the Broncos planned on closing out the regular season. But the 2012-2013 campaign has to be deemed a successful Swan Song for Head Coach Lance Creech.
Now, on to the postseason, HC earning the sixth seed in the GPAC tournament drawing third seeded Midland in the opening round. The Broncos, victorious in both regular season meetings taking the first contest 77 to 70 in Fremont and round two 87 to 75 at Lynn Farrell. So this one is set for Wednesday on the campus of Midland with tip time set for 7:00 pm. The Broncos look to advance to the semifinals of the conference tournament. After dropping their last two games of the regular season, the Lady Broncos head into the GPAC tournament as the 8th seed. They'll square off against top seeded Morningside - the number four team in the nation. HC. losing both bouts during the year against the Mustangs including Saturday's 79 to 63 defeat. |
