Closing arguments delivered in former Husker's trial

Closing arguments happened today in the jury trial of former Husker and current New England Patriot defensive back Alfonzo Dennard.

Dennard, seen here playing for Nebraska, is charged with striking a police officer last year.

He admitted he did strike someone, just not the officer.

He recently completed his rookie year with the Patriots.

Husker coach Bo Pelini had giving a statement under oath to the prosecution.

The trial lasted one week. Dennard is charged with a felony and two misdemeanors.

The verdict is now in the hands of the jury.
