On this week's Aurora Cooperative News 5 Five Star Performer we meet a competitor that will soon make her National TV debut.

Angie Kokes of Ord will soon be given the Ammo and she'll bring the Attitude.

Angie Kokes is riding this horse practicing for her ultimate hunting competition. She'll travel to the Sunshine State of Florida to compete in a reality TV show on NBC Sports Network.

In its 7th season, six half hour episodes of the show will be taped starting April 10th thru the 25th and broadcast later this year.

This reality show probably will include shooing at targets while riding a horse and that's just part of what will be incredibly demanding.

But it's anybody's game on Ammo and Attitude, the only all-female hunting show on television.

"It's a show designed to showcase women with outdoor skills. We'll do anything to shooting rifles to hand guns, cross bows, compound bows, throwing knives, throwing hatchets, hopefully doing some mounted shooting," said Angie Kokes, Ammo & Attitude Hunter.

Angie is such a good hunter she has been chosen from about 1500 to be one of six women to compete for items worth a total of $250,000 including a new pickup truck.

Each episode one hunter will be eliminated and sent home. Angie believes she has the talent to be the last hunter standing.

"I'm a rancher now and those outdoor skills get put into play every single day. I'm a hunter, I hunt all kinds of things basically I'm just a tomboy I like to play outdoors," said Kokes

To be chosen as a finalist for this competition is such a rare honor, it's like being a first round NFL draft choice.

"It is the most exciting thing, I'm actually not getting paid to go play but I kind of am, and I love it, it's great," said Kokes.

Angie will soon ride off into the Florida sunset with her hometown of Ord cheering her on as our Aurora Cooperative News Five 5 Star performer.
