Flatwater Fracas returns to Grand Island

It has become one of the great high school wrestling events in the nation and it is happening Friday an Saturday in Grand Island.

It is the Flatwater Fracas at the Heartland Events Center where 32 teams, some from as far away as Colorado and Montana have come to compete in this two day dual match tournament.

Many of the top teams in Nebraska in this area have also come to compete against different competition.

Those that come from near and far are very happy to have done so sicne they know they'll be challenged by different wrestlers in a different environment.

Coach Schadwinkel of the Islanders founded this tournament and has made it grow. His team has won the first five titles and has a good chance of making it six Saturday, but each team's goal is to simply be more prepared for tough competition later.
