All-American. National Champion. First Round Pick. Injury-riddled. Drug Addict. Quite an array of ways to describe former Husker Jason Peter in his tumultuous past

Now, just call him clean.

Peter spoke Saturday at the Teammates dinner at the Hastings Auditorium about his cloudy past and his road to recovery:

"The time that you put into getting high or getting drunk, if you put half of that time into trying to get better more likely than not you'd probably end up having some decent results. I wasn't really willing in the beginning to put that kind of time in and eventually I just came to a point in my life where I said I don't want to live like this anymore. And I made the decision to get help and change my life."
