Connie Yori's Nebraska basketball team hopes it's busy in March during the ever popular "March Madness" and the NCAA Tournament.

They may have taken a giant step Thursday night with a win over the 25th ranked Michigan State Spartans.

Once again, Jordan Hooper was unstoppable.

The 6-2 junior from Alliance scored a game high 25 points, including a basket with under four minutes to go giving Nebraska 11 point lead.

The Huskers, who have had several players out in recent games, then held off Suzy Merchants Spartans 59-54 to improve to 14-6 and 4-3 in the Big Ten.

For its next game, Nebraska travels to Ohio State next Thursday.
