Despite not making a field goal for over eleven minutes in the second half, Connie Yori's squad still manage to put win number 17 on the board getting past Iowa 60 to 53 last night.
Shooting plagued the Husker women Thursday night having their worst shooting night of the season hitting just 32 percent from the field.
But unlike a recent loss to Penn State the poor shooting didn't affect Big Red's defense as they stayed on top of the Hawkeyes holding them 30 percent shooting.
Jordan Hooper led the way again putting up 22 points and 15 boards as she was the only husker to shoot over 50 percent as Iowa used a strong zone defense to lock down the NU.
The Husker women are sitting at 6-2 halfway through the Big Ten season just two games behind Purdue for the league lead and head to Champaign Sunday to open the second half versus eleventh place Illinois the game is set to tip at noon central.
