Husker basketball coach Tim Miles after Thursday night's 64-42 loss to the Creighton Bluejays in the battle of Nebraska.

Coach Miles is right about the crowd as 13,648 fans filled the Devaney Center to near capacity to see this Intrastate battle. It was the Doug and Daddy show last night, Bluejay Star Doug McDermott and coach Greg McDermott.

It was one that was close early before the 16th ranked Jays pulled away to a 28-17 halftime lead and were never in danger of losing the lead.

It became apparent it wasn't a matter of which team would win the game, but by how much.

The final verdict, a 22 point win and the Jays, though scoring almost 20 points below their average and a season low 64, looking very much like an NCAA Tournament team.

The Huskers still have work to do.

The Huskers drop to 6-2 on the season after the loss to Creighton and will play against the team of former Creighton coach Dana Altman a week from tomorrow in Eugene before returning home for a December 18th against Jacksonville State.
