Huskers recruit Canadian David Knevel
As the Huskers prepare for the Capital One Bowl January 1st, the look to the future and sign recruits. We briefly mentioned the Big Red signed this fellow, offensive tackle David Knevel of Brantford, Ontario, Canada - the home town of the Great One, Wayne Gretzky..
We get some idea of how big David is, standing 6'9" and weighing 285. David had a chance to wear his Husker hat Tuesday with his teammates from Pauline Johnson Collegiate high school looking on. He's looking forward to coming down here and competing for playing time in future years. David is the first Husker recruit from Canada since running back Dharren Diedrick in 1998 and defensive lineman Patrick Kabango in 1999. He'll enroll in college next month and will be on the field for spring practice. We'll learn more about the Husker recruiting class on signing day in February. |
