Long Drive competition coming to Grand Island

As we mentioned last night on News 5 at Ten, the Midwest Long Drive Classic is set for this weekend at Indianhead Golf Club in Grand Island.

Not only will the pros have their competition Sunday at 9AM, they'll be different events Friday through Sunday.

A clinic for young golfers happens from 5:00 to 7:00 Friday night, a four person scramble will go on Saturday at 9:00 am, the ReMax Long Drive qualifier happens Saturday at 1:00, and the main event, the pro long drive tournament starts 9:00 am Sunday morning.

Anyone is welcome to come out Sunday to watch the pros hit their long drives. The gallery doesn't have to be quiet. Cheering in
The winner of the Long Drive Sunday advances to a regional competition in St. Louis later this summer.
