Nebraska Shrine All-Star game set for Saturday

We've heard the saying: strong legs run so weak legs may walk. This is the motto of the Shriners Hospitals and put into practice annually by the Nebraska Shrine All-Star football game.

It will be the North against the South Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at Memorial Stadium in a game featuring graduated senior football players who've already received their caps and gowns and several of whom are moving onto college football.

The game is played to raise money for Shriners Hospital Patients like Waverly' Miranda Solsaa, who's been treated at the Shrine Hopital in Minneapolis and is honorary team captain.

No doubt about it, as always there will be plenty of talent on hand to play in the Shrine Bowl.

Many of the guys we'll see on college football rosters in the very near future.17 of the South players and 11 North players plan to go out for football once they get to their campuses.

We'll have highlights of the game on News 5's Weekend edition Saturday night with Kyle Thomas.
