They are the #1 seeded team in the Class B District 5 soccer tournament in York. Chris Pedrosa's Hastings Tigers, ranked 6th in the state by the Lincoln Journal-Star, fully expect to make it back to this year's girls state tournament next week in Omaha.
Let's go to Cornerstone Park in York as the Tigers take on Seward Bluejays. Take the action in the second half Tigers up one zip when Marika Vanbrocklin gets behind the blue jay Dee for a two goal advantage and Hastings is just getting started.
Now with just over twenty minutes remaining in the game Vanbrocklin collects an assist as Zoe Mays stays with it eventually hitting the back of the net and it's three nothing.
Two minutes later on the free kick Jessica Burgos says no worries guys I got this scoring from 25 yards out for a four zip lead.
Then a couple minutes later it's Zoe Mays having a very good day not only did she get her braces off today she also scores another goal for the tigers giving them a five nil lead HHS went on to win the game seven nothing moving onto the District final.
