Super Bowl leaves fans on edge of their seats

North Platte native and former Chadron State Eagle Danny Woodhead caught Sunday's touchdown pass from Tom Brady. It's a score that put the New England Patriots ahead 10-9, but ultimately a lead they would lose Super Bowl 46 to the New York Giants 21-17.

No doubt the game turned on these two plays. On 2nd and 11 in the 4th quarter Tom Brady's pass to Wes Welker falls incomplete.

The ball was on target, but the receiver could not hang on with just over 4 minutes left.

The Patriots led 17-12, a catch here almost certainly would have wrapped up a Patriot victory.

Instead, after the Patriots had to punt, MVP Eli Manning came through.
Eli finds Mario Manningham for 38 yards on a spectacular catch leading to the Giants winning score with under a minute to go.

For the past week, our man Joe Swift, the Sports Director of KNOP NBC News 2 in North Platte has been in Indianapolis. Joe was at Sunday's Super Bowl down to the wire nailbiter. View the video for his report.
