Tri-City Storm faces battle in Waterloo

by Ed Littler

Within the hour the Tri-City Storm must dig down deep. They know they have to do something Tuesday night they've not done in a long time: win a game in Waterloo.

In Monday night's first game of the best of three playoff series, the Storm played well in the 1st and 3rd periods, but not the second.

Storm Goals by Tim Bonner and Nick Lappin had this game tied at 2 after one.

Three goals by the Blackhawks in the 2nd period was the difference.
Perhaps the Storm can build momentum on scoring Monday night's final two goals by Nick Lappin and Brian Sinz.

The Blackhawks lead the series 1-0 and a Waterloo win Tuesday night clinches this first round series and ends the Storm 2011-2012 campaign.
