UNK Lopers start off strong for volleyball season

As expected the UNK Loper volleyball team is ranked #1 in the nation after a 7-0 start to this 2012 season.

The Lopers defeated Minnesota State in four sets in this game to wrap up an undefeated weekend in their tournament at the Health and Sports Center.

It is the first time since 2005 that the Lopers have been ranked #1 and the 40th wieek in program history that they have had the #1 spot.

Katie Sokalowski of the Lopers was the MVP of this week's tournament.

The Lopers have a busy week on the road starting tomorrow at Ft. Hays State, at Pittsburgh State Friday and Central Oklahoma on Saturday.
