Schwartz moves on to pro hockey
When he takes the ice for his St. Louis Blues Saturday night in Tampa, Jaden Schwartz will become the 8th former Tri-City Storm player to compete in the National Hockey league..
Jaden has been called up by the Blues, will be with the team in Chicago Tuesday night when they play the Blackhawks, will observe that game from the bench and be ready to play Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 19 year old forward holds 14 Storm team records achieved during his only season here in the Tri-Cities two seasons ago. His former teammates and coaches are delighted for him. The Sascatchwan native was taken by the Blues in the first round of the 2010 draft as the 14th overall pick. Jaden is joining a great team. The Blues have the NHL's best record of 45-18 and are first in the NHL Western Confernce Central Divison by 6 points over the Detroit Red Wings. |
