Storm hockey prepares for playoff game
The Waterloo Blackhawks will likely be the Storm first round playoff opponent in the best of three series next week. The Storm dissapointingly lost its last two, but clinched the sixth playoff spot in the USHL West.
If that happens, the Storm must win two of three in that series in order to move to the next round and see home ice again. That is a big disadvantage it seems. Those same Waterloo Blackhawks host the Storm Friday night before the squad closes out the regular season visiting the Sioux Falls Stampede Saturday night. The fact that the Storm is in sixth place means they cannot have a home game in the first round of the playoffs best 2 of 3. If the Storm wins its first series, they'd have a least 2 at home in the best of five. |
